Delete your account

You can delete your Sifria account and the data in it at any time — in the app, or by sending the request below. Both routes remove the same data.

In the app

Open Profile → Edit Profile → Delete account and confirm. A 30-day grace period begins: if you sign in to Sifria during those 30 days the deletion is cancelled and your library stays exactly as it is. If you do not sign in, the account and its data are permanently deleted at the end of the grace period. The copy stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.

If you no longer have the app installed, send the request from here. We reply to confirm it before anything is deleted — see what happens next.

What happens next

1. You send the request from the form above.
2. We reply to confirm it is really you and that you want to go ahead. Nothing is deleted until you confirm.
3. Once you confirm, the 30-day grace period begins.
4. During the grace period, signing in to Sifria cancels the deletion. Your account and library stay exactly as they are, and you would need to start a new request to delete them.
5. If you do not sign in, the account and its data are permanently deleted at the end of the grace period.

What gets deleted

• Your account and profile, including your email address, display name, and profile photo.
• Your library: books, shelves, reading statuses, and progress.
• Your reading log: reviews, quotes, and notes.
• Your streaks, commitments, shelves, and wishlists.
• Cover photos and other images you added.

What may be kept

Some information is kept in anonymous form so the Service keeps working well — for example the aggregated figures behind book averages, and usage and diagnostic data. Everything linked to you is permanently deleted. We may also retain records where the law requires it — for example, limited transaction records. After deletion, data may persist in encrypted routine backups until those backups expire on their own schedule.

Before you go

Deletion is permanent and we cannot restore an account afterwards. If you want to keep your reading history, export or share what matters to you from the app first. While the grace period is running you can still change your mind — just sign in, and the deletion is cancelled.
